Would you like to establish a regular meditation practice? We invite you to commit to 5 weeks together with Louisa Fenn guiding you through how to develop a regular meditation practice as a lifelong tool. MONDAY MORNING MEDITATION IN MAY: 7- 7:45am (15 min practice & 30 min discussion)

About the event
Meditation is both a skill and an experience that can improve your health and
happiness. It is an integral part of Yoga that sometimes we miss out on in a 1 hour Yoga
class.
Developing a regular meditation practice is a lifelong tool, which can help calm your
nervous system. It can help activate the parasympathetic nervous state and reduce the
amount of cortisol in the body, creating a feeling of calm, spaciousness, and gratitude.
Each week we will explore different meditation techniques to empower a daily practice
of self-love, stability, and patience. Using practices from different cultures you’ll end the
course having a healthy practice that helps you find clarity and calm in your daily life.
Over 5 weeks we will explore:
● What is Meditation?
● How to sit (Posture)
● How to breathe (Diaphragm)
● Preparation for Meditation Practice (Physical Postures & Movement)
● Pranic Sensitivity (Awareness of Energy)
● Integrating meditation in the home
● Nadi Shodhana & Other Grounding Pranayama (Breathing Techniques)
● Noting + Labeling + Returning from the monkey mind (Vipassana)
● Creating 'union' of mind and breath
● Yoga Nidra
● Mindfulness
● Simple Meditation Techniques
● Spanda & The Depth of Meditation
● Mantra
● Establishing daily practice (Dinacharya)
Each class we will spend 15 minutes discussing and 30 minutes developing our practice.
We invite you to commit to 5 weeks together, as we all need about 40 days to truly
establish a new habit. By coming along every week you’ll also develop new friendships
built on the foundation of wellness and love. So start the week in a peaceful community
and let us support you in creating habits of calm and wellbeing in just 45 minutes each week.
